Artie is an absolute sweetheart and is very keen to learn. Being a Podenco cross he needs an active home who will give him at least 1 really good walk a day with lots of stimulation in between. He is young and will need training and guidance but as he is so clever he will pick this up quickly. He'll make a fantastic agility or canicross dog.
He can live with children over 10 years, another confident dog after careful introductions but sadly no cats.
He is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, flea and worm treated and will come with 5 weeks free insurance.
Now unfortunately the down side to this beautiful boy is that he has tested positive for a Southern European disease called Leishmaniasis. This can be managed with daily medication and he will need bi annually blood tests to check his levels. This disease can not be passed on to other dogs or humans and he can go on to live a full and healthy life. Any relapses' he has can be treated with a slightly stronger medication for a short period of time. Unfortunately though he will not be covered for this under any insurance so its a cost you will need to consider if choosing to adopt him. More information and support will be provided by ourselves and the charity he has come from in Spain.
